Hermetic Refrigerant Pumps (GUIDANCE NOTE 14) This guidance note has been prepared by the Technical Committee of the Institute of Refrigeration. It is an abridged version of the publication “Design guidance for hermetic refrigerant pumps”, which is available in electronic format from the Institute. Refrigerant pumps are not covered by the recently introduced Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and should always be supplied with factory test pressure certificates. A declaration of conformity with the European Union Low Voltage (LV) Directive and Electro-magnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive should also be provided.....
