IOR membship

There are four grades of Membership of the Institute.  Members are allocated to a grade based on the guidelines in the "Grades and Qualitifications" document below. You can apply for advancement to any of the following grades:

Associate (AM InstR) - Associate Members have some knowledge and experience and have held a senior role for a lesser period of time.

Member (MInstR) - Members usually have considerable knowledge and experience and hold a senior role, with at least three years of important responsibility in a refrigeration and/or air conditioning business. 

Fellow (FInstR) - a Fellow is a member who can demonstrate special responsbilities within his work, a contribution to the industry beyond his immediate  business interests and has normally been a Member of the IOR for at least 10 years.
