Thermofrost Cryo is seeking a refrigeration application engineer to join their team in the SE27 London office, supporting a range of commercial and industrial refrigeration products. Candidates should have a good practical and theoretical knowledge of refrigeration systems, using refrigerants HFC, NH3 and if possible CO2. They will work closely on a day to day basis with sales and engineering staff in all three offices, but mainly in support of those staff who are based in London. Good communication skills are required, the role involving considerable contact with customers, mainly by telephone but also via email, fax, and at our London trade counter. Candidates should be competent in the use of Word, Excel, the internet and email.Main duties are: To provide technical and engineering assistance to customers on our full range of commercial and industrial products. This will include cold room calculations & equipment selection, valve selections, compressor comparisons, selection and programming of electronic controls, etc. To assist our internal and external sales staff with technical enquiries. University of Warwick - School of Engineering are currently looking to recruit an outstanding Research Fellow to undertake the development of a smart hybrid refrigeration system using R723 refrigerant. Applicants should have a track record and experience of undertaking challenging research projects. This project is funded by EPSRC for a period of 3 years. You should have a PhD in Thermal Engineering or related Engineering Science and experience in modelling, designing, building and testing conventional and / or adsorption refrigeration systems. Experience of modelling thermal systems is required. You must have communication and reporting skills and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a group.
