UK training providers with a specialist interest in air conditioning and air source heat pumps are invited to join us at a free technology update forum on Thursday 26th April 2012 hosted by Mitsubishi Electric at their Hatfield Training Centre.

The forum is organised by the Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Institute of the Institute of Refrigeration (ACHPI) in association with Mitsubishi with the aim of:

  • Updating trainers' knowledge on new technologies, regulations and training issues
  • Sharing expertise and experience to improve training provision
  • Strengthening links with industry, industry bodies and other providers
  • Establishing a dialogue with those developing qualifications and standards

Participation in this one day event is by invitation only to training professionals involved in the delivery of current national qualifications covering either air conditioning, heat pump or related environmental technologies such as photovoltaic generation; heat recovery and monitoring & controls.

Welcome from Mitsubishi Electric UK – Renewable Solutions and the Future. Martin Fahey, Mitsubishi

Briefs on related issues from industry experts:

  • Renewable Heat Incentive and Microgeneration Certification, Graham Wright, Daikin
  • Measuring efficiency EER and SEER, John Ellis, ACHPI
  • New qualifications for new technologies, speaker TBA
  • Low carbon building services, Richard Garner, Building Energy Manager

Workshops will be hosted by Mitsubishi technical experts and allow you to discuss the latest developments in:

  • Heat pumps for heating and cooling
  • Heating only heat pumps
  • Photovolatic generation
  • Heat recovery and ventilation
  • Monitoring and controls

The day will involved hosted technical tours including demonstrations of technologies in operation and reviewing monitoring software

TIMINGS AND LOCATION

The day will begin at 10am and conclude around 3.30pm

It will be hosted at the Mitsubishi Technology Centre in Hatfield, Hertfordshire
