About the Section The IOR Service Engineers' Section is for maintenance, service and installation engineers at all levels of experience. It provides access to technical information and updates for engineers working in the refrigeration and air conditioning field. If you want to access all of the practical benefits of the Service Engineers' Section guides but also want to get full Institute of Refrigeration recognition - you can apply instead for our Technician Grade Membership (and gain the right to use the initials TMInstR after your name as evidence of your status). The grade is recognised the professional service technician and applicants must have at least three years experience in a suitable role and hold an F gas individual certificate.
