The IOR Air conditioning and Heat Pump Institute
 ACHPI is a specialist group of the IOR has been set up for anyone who installs, services or maintains air conditioning and heat pump equipment. This new Institute established in 2009 and now comprising 650 members keeps you up to date with news, practical tips and current skills:
- broaden your practical knowledge of current technology
- help fill gaps in theory understanding and fundamentals
- signpost new developments such as tracking new legislation
- demonstrate your commitment to a high standards of installation, service and maintenance
- develop skills and knowledge in the area and
- become part of a community of air conditioning and heat pump professionals with a common voice and interest.
The ACHPI brings together the technical expertise of manufacturers support services with the experience of the Institute of Refrigeration in providing practical guidance and keeping individuals up to date with good industry practice and standards. The encouragement of major manufacturers and training providers has been crucial to the establishment of the ACHPI and they continue to play an important role in its Technical Steering Panel.
