News The next IOR RAC Young Engineers Network meeting announced On the 14th November the IOR will be holding the next RAC Young Engineers and Student Networking Event at the University of Warwick. Come and join us at this free event and get to meet representatives from WR Refrigeration, Sainsburys, Transport for London, Star Refrigeration and many more companies. This informal event offers a great opportunity to meet other young engineers and ask questions of those who have established successful careers in the RAC industry. As well as the speed networking session, the afternoon will include brief presentations from Dr Andy Pearson, President of the Institute of Refrigeration, Prof. Bob Critoph of the University of Warwick and Dr Jolyon Thompson of Parsons Brinckerhoff. The Ted Perry Award is calling for entries If you are a student with research of a practical nature relating to the field of refrigeration you could be eligible to enter this prestigious award. The award is open to all students at degree or doctorate level who can submit an entry which demonstrates the understanding of the problems that they are addressing in their research, it should show technical flair and practical applicability. The winner will be presented with an award of £500 and a set of ASHRAE Databooks at the Institute of Refrigeration Annual Dinner in February 2013. The winner will also be able to give a paper about their research during the IOR evening papers session. For full details and to enter please follow this link.
