Technical guidance

  • The IOR provides technical information for designers, specifiers, installers, end users and service and maintenance personnel.  The ever growing library of up to date and historic publications makes the IOR a central point of reference for all matters relating to refrigeration and air conditioning practice.
  • Publications are developed by the IOR Technical Committee as a group of experienced members who draft, review and contribute to standards and publications worldwide.  A specialist review panel for Service Engineer Section publications provide these more practical tool box talk style short guides.
  • Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information published the Institute of Refrigeration accepts no liability for errors or omissions.
  • Materials are provided for use by the general public and remain the intellectual property and copyright of the IOR. They may not be copied or distributed without prior permission from the IOR. Contact
