Thu 16th Feb 2017
Venue The Grange St Pauls Hotel, London, EC4V 5AJ
The Institute of Refrigeration held the 117th Annual Dinner at the Grange St Paul's Hotel on Thursday 16th February with 400 members and guests in attendance.
The original “Fridge” Dinner was a fantastic evening where contractors and manufacturers, engineers and technicians came together as individuals to celebrate achievement and support the Institute of Refrigeration.
Those attending heard from guest speaker Reverend Richard Coles and IOR President Steve Gill. Steve’s speech to members focused on what the IOR means to him and why he is a committed member. For Steve the IOR is a place of friendship and collaboration. It is an organisation dedicated to, and ideally placed, to help develop young engineers and technicians. The toast to the Institute to was carried out by one of these young engineers Jack Wootton. Jack won the Student of the Year Award 2016 and attended the dinner as a guest of the President.
£1745 was raised by donation for charity and this amount will be shared between the Stroke Association and the IOR Presidents' Fund for educational initiatives.
The following IOR Awards for individual achievement were presented.
